Terry Lou was raised in Long Island, and recieved her B.A. degree from Caldwell College, Caldwell, New Jersey. She is a resident of St. Pete Beach, Florida, where she is constantly inspired by the beauty of the island. Her love for the sea was developed early in her childhood when she spent many hours on Long Island, even in the middle of winter. As she paints she feels she is actually at the beach and that peaceful tranquility is easily seen in her works. She is overwhelmed by the beauty of God’s creation and specializes in dipicting seascapes, flowers, and birds, as well as landscape in all three medias: water color, acrylic and oil. She also enjoys designing and painting on apparel.

Her works have been on exhibit at Gallery I, Gallery Ltd., Bermuda, Sun Strokes Art Gallery, Sun Tan Art Gallery, Frame Station, Frame Factory, Don Cesar Gift Shop, The Mole Hole, St. Armand’s Circle, The Longboat Key Club, Longboat Key, Florida, and Inside Out Gallery on St. Pete Beach. Terry Lou considers he talent a “gift”. Her style is noted for its freeness and beautiful colors that leaves the viewer with a sense of serenity and peacefulness.
